Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known as the actress who starred in Fox's House medical drama. She was raised in Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. When she was 18 she moved into New York City to study at Tisch School for the Arts. But very soon she was active in the club scene, making enough splashes to get recognized by the media, concurrently, becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. Then, she used her experience and fame as well as her own education to write and perform a show called Positive Me. In the following months, she got the job of MTV as host of Awake to the Wild Side. After Awake on The Wild Side had stopped airing, she started acting in movies as well as on TV, starting with short parts. As time went on, her work in acting increased.
