Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on April 28, 1968, is an American actor and singer. She made her acting debut as a teenager. She was best known for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has been blessed with three brothers. She began singing in club nights as a teenager. She often would leave her house in order to perform. From the Wooster School at the age of thirteen She began her studies in drama. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, with the renowned teacher Uta Hagen.
