Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney was born in the year 1959, on the 19th November. [2] She is an American actor. Her performances on screen and the stage have been an integral part of her career which spans three decades. Janney has received many awards including the Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Her work earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney received nominations for two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston, and raised on the streets of Dayton (Ohio). She was awarded a scholarship to studying at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art following her graduation from Kenyon College. Following years of minor, uncredited film and television appearances her breakthrough came in the character of C. J. Cregg in The West Wing, an NBC political drama The West Wing (1999-2006), for which she received four Primetime Emmy Awards. In recognition of her performance as Margaret Scully, a Showtime actress in the period show Masters of Sex, Janney was awarded her 2014 Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. Her most well-known role was her performance as Bonnie Plunkett.
